a. For the type of FAT partition
- Please you to boot from your Win98 floppy and copy the files NTLDR or NTDETECT.COM from i386 directory to the drive stem / root (root) C: \
b. To partition an NTFS type-Enter the Windows XP CD and boot from the CD.
-At options appear first R = Repair , pressthe R key
- Press the number that corresponds with the location of the Windows installation you want to repair.
- Usually # 1 - Enter the administrator password if necessary.
- Enter the following command, where X: is the address of the CD ROM drive.
- Write: COPY X: \ i386 \ NTLDR C \:
- Write: COPY X: \ i386 \ NTDETECT.COM C: \
- Remove your CD and type exit, or just coffee NTDETECT.COM and ntldr from the windows that are still good or your friends and copy to directory C: \ you (make you a slave hdd first).
If the Master Boot Record error then can be corrected with the application Win Image with your HDD records used to be a slave on a windows computer is still good, and then install winimage and in bar disk select the drive letter your windows broken HDD and choose Properties to edit Master boot record and select reset and if there is a warning not hesitate to select yes easily useful.

Usually the quickest thing You can do (and perhaps the only one, if you don't have your windows CD around) if one of the boot files is lost, is to remove your HDD and connect it to another computer, from there it would be way easier to copy missing files and restore MBR.
