On the sidelines of the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in January 2011 and then 6-9 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, United States, environmental NGOs announced the results of assessments. Electronic products are rated by Greenpeace include desktop computers, notebooks, netbooks, monitors, cell phones, smart phones, and television. All products are involved in the survey called "Green Electronic Survey" is available in the first quarter of 2011.
"Manufacturers make a product that is free of most toxic chemicals, efficient in energy use, and easily recycled," he said. "We expect continued innovation with higher standards," said Blanchard.
A total of 21 electronics companies were invited to participate in this survey. A total of 18 companies deliver products that are considered the most environmentally friendly. Greenpeace rate based on usage of hazardous chemicals in products, energy use when the product is operated, the age of product, energy use for the manufacture of products, as well as innovation and marketing.

This survey involves several major brands, among others, beyond the winners are Dell, Fujitsu, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, Nokia, Panasonic, RIM, and Toshiba. Its really helpful in saving the environment and it would also not allow any chemicals or harmful gases to get contact with the air thereby saving the planet.
