Google plans to differentiate android for tablets and smartphones

Google plans to separate its operating system to a different device. A differentiate android for tablets and smartphones. Based on rumors, separation applies to smartphones and tablets.

For smartphones, Google is preparing a new operating system, Android 2.4 (ice cream). Various people claim that Google's Android 2.4 prepared for smartphones.

Latest operating system developed by Google, among others, have tested the Sony Ericsson. Prototype Android smartphones with 2.4, Sony Ericsson has been exhibited at the International Consumer Electronic Show 2011 last. Reportedly there are a number of other devices is conducting trials with Android 2.4.

What about Android 3.0 (honey comb). This operating system seems designed for tablets. Honey comb rumors require a higher specification support when implemented in smartphones.

There are even some specifications smartphone that is not expected to support the Android 3.0. Like for example the equivalent support dual core processors and high definition displays. When satisfied that this will make the smartphone expensive retail price.

If Google does separation platform, he was not the first. At least the separation of Microsoft's platform ever made for windows mobile. Microsoft developed a different platform for Pocket PCs (PDAs) and smartphones.
